The SIG P210, particularly the Swiss military version known as the P49, is celebrated as one of the most historically significant and high-quality pistols ever created. Often regarded as the finest military pistol produced, its reputation for exceptional accuracy and craftsmanship makes it a highly sought-after collectible. Swiss military P49s can be easily identified by the "A" serial number prefix, which is stamped on the barrel, slide, and frame, along with a lanyard loop on the left grip. Serial production commenced with A100001 in 1949 and concluded with A213110 in the early 1970s, resulting in a total of just over 113,000 units.
