According to research compiled from Smith-Wessonforum.com, the Smith & Wesson 3566 Limited Performance Center was produced in an extremely limited run of approximately 517 units, making it a rare and highly collectible full-size semi-automatic pistol. Built by the Smith & Wesson Performance Center and distributed exclusively by Lew Horton in 1993, the 3566 Limited was designed for competitive shooting and chambered in the now-defunct .356 TSW cartridge—a high-performance 9x21.5mm round developed in collaboration with Federal Cartridge. This model features a 5-inch match-grade barrel with a titanium bushing, oversized frame rails for improved slide-to-frame fit, and a distinctive two-tone black and hand-polished stainless finish. Additional features include adjustable target sights, checkered synthetic grips with the S&W logo, and the Performance Center stamp on the right side of the frame.
