The Model 41-1, introduced in 1960, was designed for International Rapid Fire competition, which demands fast, controlled shooting. Chambered in .22 Short, a lower-powered cartridge, the pistol offered quicker, more reliable cycling. To ensure reliable function with this ammo, the Model 41-1 featured a lightweight aluminum slide. Only 1,000 units were produced to meet the specific needs of this competitive discipline.
