To commemorate Carpenter Technology Corporation's 100th anniversary, a special edition Smith & Wesson Model 629 was created following a well-received presentation at the Sheraton. A committee of Carpenter employees collaborated with a Smith & Wesson sales representative to finalize the details. The chosen model—a stainless steel .44 Magnum with a 6" barrel—features laser-etched engraving and comes in a custom presentation case, celebrating a century of the company's excellence. This special edition is limited to 2,060, with this example being #1,656.
