The Smith & Wesson Model 65-2 is a stainless-steel, medium-frame double-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum and produced as part of Smith & Wesson's trusted K-frame lineup, blending durability, utility, and classic revolver design. Introduced as an update to earlier Model 65 variants, the 65-2 was manufactured primarily in the 1980s and 1990s and features a 4-inch barrel—long considered the ideal compromise between concealability and controllability—paired with a five-round cylinder that can also fire milder .38 Special ammunition. The all-stainless-steel construction not only provides robust strength to handle full-power magnum loads but also offers excellent corrosion and wear resistance, making it suitable for both duty use and everyday carry.
