The Smith & Wesson M&P45 M2.0 is a modern, striker-fired handgun produced by Smith & Wesson as part of the second-generation M&P (Military & Police) series, designed to deliver enhanced ergonomics, durability, and performance for both law-enforcement and civilian use. Chambered in .45 ACP, the M&P45 M2.0 builds upon the original M&P platform with a number of refinements, including a more rigid internal stainless steel chassis system that reduces flex and improves accuracy, as well as a low bore axis that helps minimize muzzle rise and allows for faster follow-up shots . The pistol typically features a polymer frame paired with a stainless steel slide and barrel finished in Armornite, providing strong corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Available in both full-size and compact configurations, common variants include barrel lengths of 4.0 to 4.6 inches and a double-stack magazine capacity of approximately 10 rounds, balancing the power of the .45 ACP cartridge with manageable size and capacity. 
 
One of the defining characteristics of the M2.0 series is its aggressively textured grip and four interchangeable palmswell inserts, allowing shooters to customize grip size and feel for improved control and comfort.
