Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this popular semi-automatic pistol today for a penny-start auction, this is the Smith & Wesson M&P 45 Shield (Thumb Safety).
 
-According to the owner, this example was initially fired using 14 rounds of 230gr jacketed round-nose and 14 rounds of jacketed hollow points +P. Since then, the pistol remained in a dehumidified safe with two annual cleanings.-

The Smith & Wesson M&P 45 Shield (Thumb Safety) is a striker-fired, semi-automatic polymer pistol chambered in .45 ACP, representing a slim, single-stack evolution of the Shield platform with a strong emphasis on concealed-carry practicality, reliability, and defensive performance. Designed by Smith & Wesson to deliver .45 ACP performance in a lightweight, easily concealable handgun, this model features a 3.3-inch stainless-steel barrel and slide finished in Smith & Wesson’s Armornite corrosion-resistant treatment for enhanced durability and wear resistance. The pistol incorporates an extremely thin polymer frame with an aggressive grip texture and an 18-degree grip angle to promote a natural point of aim and improved recoil control, along with front cocking serrations on the slide to aid in press checks and manipulation. Central to its operating system is a striker-fired action that provides a short, consistent trigger pull with a predictable tactile reset, supporting both accurate and repeatable follow-up shots. Equipped with a frame-mounted manual thumb safety, offering positive engagement for enhanced handling safety and allowing the pistol to be comfortably and confidently carried while loaded. 
 
Visibility is provided by steel white-dot front and two white-dot rear sights, allowing for fast and intuitive sight alignment in defensive applications. The pistol is constructed with a polymer frame and stainless-steel barrel and slide, all finished in a durable black Armornite coating, and is engineered to be extremely thin and lightweight for comfortable all-day carry. Altogether, this M&P 45 Shield (Thumb Safety) delivers professional-grade features and powerful defensive capability in a streamlined concealed-carry handgun.
