The Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0 is an internal-hammer-fired, semi-automatic polymer pistol chambered in .380 ACP, representing a refined evolution of the Shield EZ platform with a strong emphasis on ease of operation, controllability, and defensive performance. Designed by the Smith & Wesson Performance Center, this model incorporates a Performance Center ported barrel and slide to reduce muzzle flip and improve rapid-fire control, with additional lightening cuts in the slide to reduce reciprocating mass and overall weight. The pistol has an overall length of 6.9 inches and weighs approximately 18.5 ounces, making it compact and well-suited for concealed carry. Central to its enhanced performance is a flat-faced black anodized aluminum Performance Center trigger, tuned for a crisp, lightweight pull with a distinct tactile and audible reset to aid consistent follow-up shots. The Shield EZ design features an enhanced grip safety and an easy-to-rack slide, making manipulation accessible for a wide range of shooters. Visibility is provided by HI-VIZ Litewave H3 tritium/litepipe sights for effective target acquisition in both daylight and low-light environments, while a tactile loaded chamber indicator allows the shooter to confirm chamber status by sight or touch. The pistol feeds from an 8-round detachable magazine (8+1 capacity) and is constructed with a polymer frame and stainless-steel barrel and slide, finished in Smith & Wesson’s Armornite corrosion-resistant treatment for durability. A Picatinny-style accessory rail allows mounting of lights or lasers, further enhancing its defensive utility. Altogether, the Performance Center M&P 380 Shield EZ M2.0 delivers premium features and refined shootability in a compact, user-friendly defensive handgun platform.
