Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Winchester Model 1897, also known as the Model 97, M97, Riot Gun, or Trench Gun, is a shotgun manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. It features an external hammer and tube magazine. John Browning designed the Model 1897, which is an evolution of the Winchester Model 1893. Over one million of these shotguns were produced from 1897 until 1957. This model was available in various barrel lengths and grades, with 12 and 16-gauge options, and could be purchased as a solid frame or takedown. The standard barrel length for 16-gauge guns was 28 inches, while 12-gauge guns came with 30-inch barrels. However, special-length barrels could be ordered in lengths as short as 20 inches or as long as 36 inches. This shotgun has been widely used by American military personnel, law enforcement officers, and hunters since it was first manufactured, and is highly regarded for its effectiveness.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
