The Colt 1908 Vest Pocket Hammerless, a natural successor in Colt’s line of compact pistols, was designed with concealability and convenience at its core. Chambered in .25 ACP and built on the legacy of the larger 1903 Pocket Hammerless, the 1908 Vest Pocket was an ultra-compact semi-automatic handgun that served both civilian and military users with quiet confidence. Measuring just over four inches in overall length and sporting a 2-inch barrel, the pistol was ideally suited for discreet carry in a pocket or handbag, making it especially popular for personal defense in the early 20th century.
