The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. This is a Colt Model 1911 that was made during WWI that was part of the 1911 military reworks that the Goverment sent back to various military arsenals for reworking. It has been reworked with a Remington Rand slide by the Agusta Arsenal and features the "AA" stamping on the receiver above the trigger guard.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this 1911 is in AMAZING condition showing no evidence of regular consumer use or handling for its age that we can see!
