Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Colt Police Positive revolver was an enhanced version of the New Police model, featuring Colt's innovative "Positive Safety" mechanism. This revolver gained wide popularity among police departments due to its compact size and lightweight design. The Police Positive was manufactured in different variants from 1907 to 1947. The Police Positive First Issue was a revolver that was manufactured between 1907 and 1927. It was available in three different calibers: .32 Colt, .32 Colt New Police, and .38 New Police, which is essentially the same as .38 S&W. The revolver was offered with barrels of 2 1/2", 4", 5", and 6" in length and was made with bright blue and bright nickel finishes. Hard rubber grips were used until 1923, after which checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions became standard.
The Police Positive Second Issue was an improved version that featured a grooved top strap to reduce glare and a slightly heavier frame. Additionally, the distance between the rear of the trigger guard and the front of the grip frame was increased to allow more room for fingers. It was manufactured from 1928 to 1947.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
