This example is an unconverted Ruger Single-Six, retaining its original pre-1973 lockwork and classic half-cock loading system. It features the rare flat top frame, known for its clean, streamlined sight profile found only on the earliest models. The Single-Six Flat Loading Gate was produced exclusively with a 5 1/2" barrel, with approximately 62,000 examples manufactured between 1953 and 1957. Offered in four variations within the serial number range 1–62000, these early-production revolvers are highly sought after by both shooters and collectors.
