Item Description
Bryant Ridge Auction Company is pleased to present this unique limited edition single shot pistol today for a penny start auction, this is the Colt Civil War Centennial Model!
There were approximately only 24,000 of these guns manufactured in 1961 with a serial number range from 50W-24189W (numbers 1W-49W and 124W-149W were not manufactured)
The thing that makes these examples so unique is the fact the gun is made for presentation, but has the ability to be taken apart and a single 22 short shell can be used and shot through it. The cylinder only is completely finished for 1 round, all the other cylinder holes are not completely machined. The push rod does not function and is a part of the frame. These collectible commemorative firearms have the appearance of a Colt 1860 Percussion Revolver but are single-shot in their function.
