The Super Match is the much more rare sister model to such classics as the National Match, Super 38, Government, and the Combat Commander.

According to our research, this model is one of the rarest to be produced by Colt. This amazing Example was manufactured in 1961. The quantity produced was approximately 755 units. It has never been completely established that we can find who initiated the order for the production of this model. The bulk of these units were sent to El Paso, Texas. It is widely excepted that most of these guns ended up in Mexico with only a handful to still exist. This example is truly considered the "Holy Grail" of the Colt 1911 models.

As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Colt is in Excellent condition showing only the normal indications of use over the years that we can see!
