Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Colt New Frontier .22 Scout was produced between 1970 and 1977, and then again from 1982 to 1986. This gun shares many similarities with the Colt Peacemaker model. The 6-shot Single Action revolvers were available in three different barrel lengths- 4.4, 4 3/4, or 6 inches. They came with an adjustable rear sight and were built on the flat top frame, with a blue and/or color case-hardened finish. The guns made from 1970 to 1977 had two cylinders- .22 LR & .22 Magnum, while those made from 1982 to 1986 only had a .22 LR cylinder. Additionally, those made from 1982 to 1986 were fitted with a cross bolt safety, located under the loading gate. Colt's Frontier Scout is a spin on the classic .22 caliber firearm with interchangeable cylinders, making it a versatile sidearm suitable for target shooting, hunting, or plinking. With its action-proven features, the Colt Frontier Scout is one of America's most sought-after handguns.
