*Colt made only 1,001 of these revolvers to celebrate the 300th years of the New Jersey Tercentenary*.
The Colt Frontier Scout was born in 1957 and was made until 1970 when Colt carried on with their Peacemaker 22 and then later a “New Frontier Scout”. The Frontier Scout was scaled down slightly and was lighter than its bigger bore brother. In the time between 1957 and 1970, Colt made some different variations of the Frontier Scout. These variations were mostly finishing differences and a few different grip styles. A majority of the initial Frontier Scouts seem to have had black plastic grips but walnut was also another offering at the time
The Frontier Scout is in a family of single-action six-shot revolver that are chambered in 22LR or 22 Mag. A 4.75” barrel is adorned with a notch rear sight and a blade front sight. An aluminum alloy frame is capped with checkered grips in either walnut or black, ensuring users will have a secure grasp on this gun as they get their fun in plinking tin cans or other targets while using the Frontier Scout.
