The Makarvo PM, a semi-automatic pistol with an eight round capacity magazine, is considered a Cold War era collectible. The Model PM was originally manufactured under license at the Ernst Thaelmann manufacturing plant is Suhl, Germany. It has been suggested that the Makarov evolved as a result of the Walther PP/PPK because of the similarities between both firearms.
The Makarov has a double/single action firing mechanism. It features a blowback design with a slide-mounted safety and frame mounted slide latch. The barrel is chrome lined which provides reliability and longer life. The attraction to the Makarov is in its simplistic design, ease-of use-, and the powerful 9x18mm cartridge.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Makarov is in excellent condition overall showing no indications of regular consumer use or mishanlding that we can see. Additionally, it will ship with the genuine leather holster and a total of two magazines.
