The Remington Arms company produced the Model 760 Gamemaster from 1952 to 1981. It's worth noting that the .223 Remington caliber was only made for this model from 1964 to 1969. The particular example I'm referring to is chambered for .223 Rem. and was manufactured in 1964, making it a rare and sought-after first-year production model.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Remington Model 760 Gamemaster is a centerfire rifle that operates on a pump-action mechanism. It was manufactured by Remington Arms from 1952 to 1981 and replaced the Model 141 in the product lineup. The design of Model 760 allowed it to be fed by a box magazine, which made it capable of using more powerful rounds with spitzer bullets. Eventually, it was succeeded by the Remington Model 7600 series.
The 760 rifle featured a detachable box magazine, dual action bars, and a removable aluminum trigger group. The bolt of the rifle had 14 locking lugs arranged in an interrupted-thread pattern. These lugs were locked into corresponding lugs in a barrel extension through a cam-rotated bolt. However, this bolt arrangement was problematic, and the interrupted thread lugs were replaced with more conventional lugs on the Model 7600 that succeeded it.
