Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Remington Arms Model 600 was a bolt-action rifle with a push-feed mechanism that was produced by Remington Arms from 1964 to 1968. Although it is commonly believed that production ended in 1967, records from Remington representatives indicate that it actually ended in 1968. This model was the predecessor to the Model 660 (manufactured from 1968 to 1971), the Model Mohawk 600 (manufactured from 1972 to 1979), and the Model 673 (manufactured from 2003 to 2004).

The Model 600 was specifically designed to serve as a guide rifle. One of its most prominent features was the vent rib barrel. A total of 94,086 rifles were produced, available in various calibers such as .222 Remington, .223 Remington, 6mm Remington, 6.5mm Remington Magnum, .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .35 Remington, and .350 Remington Magnum.
