Starting around 1935, Walther introduced a lightweight Duraluminum frame in PP and PPK models. These ‘Dural’ frame pistols were some of the first firearms to be produced using this aluminum alloy for the frame. This is a very desirable post-war Walther and is considered to be the definitive classic James Bond gun. It is much rarer than the steel guns and is highly sought after. Just hearing the lines from the first 007 movie "Dr. No" will make you want to own this icon of the Cold War era. When you take it out of the box, you will feel like Major Boothroyd just issued it to you!

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
One drawback of the Dural frames was that only anodizing could be used as bluing was not possible on an alloy. However, the anodization process was not fully refined at that time, and as a result, most Dural frames display notable discoloration with use. Hence, it is quite challenging for collectors nowadays to find a Dural pistol that has preserved all of its original finish. The Walther PPK Dural pistol that we are offering today was manufactured in 1967. It has matching-numbered components and retains all its high-polish blue finish on the slide while the frame’s anodized finish is completely intact. It is marked with the ‘eagle/N’ Nitro Proof mark on the frame, slide, and barrel, and comes complete with two 7-round magazines.
