Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The perfect "one gun solution". Featured is a Kreighoff ULM 16 gauge over/under shotgun (top choked Modified and bottom choked Improved Cylinder). This firearm also features the best quality over/under shotgun (16 gauge Modified Choked) and rifle (7x57R) combination barrel. The combination barrel includes a claw mounted Zeiss Diatal-D 4x32 three post reticle scope. Also included is a 22 Hornet insert which is easily removed (currently fitted in the 16 gauge combination barrel).
Both sets of barrels have large open scroll engravings on the ejector bolsters and sling loops that are soldered to the bottom barrels of each set. The combination barrels are 25" and the shotgun barrels are 27 7/8" respectively, and both are fitted with full length matted, solid ribs, and folding rear sights. The coin finished double Kersten action features hand-detachable side locks with gold plated internals, non-automatic safety, pin type cocking indicators, and gold plated double triggers. Side-locks are accessed by screw with hidden hinged cover on the right side plate. The receiver is engraved with full coverage, varying sized and mostly large open scroll and the trigger guard is made of horn. The buttstock is made of spectacular fiddle figured European walnut with capped pistol grip that measures 12 7/8" over horn buttplate. The buttplate has a latch for removal to access storage space for the 22 Hornet insert and 2 rifle cartridges.
This is an opportunity to own a truly Classic European combination rifle and shotgun that is perfectly suited to hunting deer in the United States or able serve as a fine hunting companion on pheasant hunts using the 16 gauge shotgun barrel set. Priced at less than half of what a new Kreighoff like this would go for today!
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this shotgun is in overall fine condition after over 50 years and is ready to be hunted or collected. The barrel bluing remains in excellent condition and the gorgeous walnut stock has minimal evidence of use or handling marks and is in outstanding condition. Ejectors are not supposed to operate with the combination barrel, but are strong and in time on the shotgun barrels. The Zeiss scope is very good with clear optics, but shows numerous light scratches to the exterior lacquer.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
