Markings: The right side plate is marked with a Texas Ranger seal bearing the Star of Texas surrounded by lettering “STATE OF TEXAS / TEXAS RANGER COMMEMORATIVE COMISSION” with “1823” above and “1973” below.
Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
This limited edition Smith & Wesson commemorative had only 10,000 manufactured in 1973 and only 8,000 of these included the Bowie knife. The Smith & Wesson Model 19 is a revolver produced by Smith & Wesson that was introduced in 1957 on its K-frame. The Model 19 is chambered for .357 Magnum. The K-frame is somewhat smaller and lighter than the original N-frame .357, usually known as the Smith & Wesson Model 27. A stainless steel variant of the Model 19, the Smith & Wesson Model 66, was introduced in 1971.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Phenomenal condition showing no indications of normal consumer use or handling that we can see! Additionally, it will come with the original wooden presentation case and bowie knife with matching serial number.
