Item Description
Bryant Ridge Auction Company is pleased to present this eye-catching semi-auto rifle for a penny-start auction today; this is the Remington Nylon 66!
For those who collect Remingtons, this is an incredible addition to the safe; the Apache Black/Chrome model was made in very low numbers compared to its Mohawk Brown sister model!
The Remington Nylon 66AB "Apache Black" is one of three rifles in a private collection. The collection also includes a Remington Apache 77 "Seneca Green" and a Remington Nylon 66MB "Mohawk Brown." The owner confirms that all three rifles have been inspected and show no signs of being fired. The chambers and bores are described as “As New.”
Remember to bid on the matching sisters so this set can stay together for future generations of collectors!!! Simply type item numbers 1059627842 and 1059628770 into the search bar, OR you can click “Seller's other items.”

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Remington Nylon 66 was manufactured from 1959-1989. It was the first mass-produced rifle to feature a stock made from a material other than wood. For this reason, it was a huge gamble for Remington. The largely synthetic construction meant that the Nylon 66 could operate without any added lubricants, leading to great reliability in all climates. Some have speculated that the gun's light weight could potentially cause substandard accuracy in the field, but this does not seem to be a complaint from Nylon 66 shooters. This is a Remington Nylon 66 that was produced in 1974, and it has aged very well with little to no sign of use. One thing is for sure – this is one of the lightest rifles you will ever find. This will make anyone a great plinker, and is perfect for taking along on those long trips out into the field when you don’t want to carry a 12-pound varmint rifle. This is a great opportunity to pick up a really nice vintage plinking rifle that has been well-preserved by a previous owner. This is a great addition to the safe for those who collect Remingtons. The Apache Black/Chrome model was made between 1962 and 1984, but Remington only produced approximately 221,000 compared to the 716,000 plus they made of the Mohawk Brown.
