In 1976, to celebrate the Bicentennial of the United States, Ruger proudly inscribed all of their firearms with the phrase "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty." This special marking honored the 200th anniversary of the nation's founding and reflected Ruger's patriotic spirit and recognition of American heritage.
