Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Colt Peacemaker .22s were introduced in 1970 to replace the earlier Frontier Scout .22 revolvers. They are also related to the center fire Colt Single Action Army and SAA New Frontier. The Peacemaker .22 is the visual counter part of the regular Single Action Army. Its round top frame is similar in style and the front sight is a rounded blade. The Colt Buntline Special is a variant of long-barreled Colt Single Action Army revolver that author Stuart N. Lake created while writing his 1931 biography of Wyatt Earp. Lake attributed the gun to Wyatt Earp, but modern researchers have not found any supporting evidence from secondary sources or in available primary documentation of the gun's existence prior to the publication of Lake's book. After its publication, various Colt revolvers with long (10-inch or 16-inch) barrels were called Colt Buntlines or Buntline Specials. Colt manufactured the pistol among its second-generation revolvers produced after 1956.
The Colt Peacemaker Buntline is a combination of both worlds, it is chambered in .22 LR with a 7.5" barrel. This particular example featured a duo-tone Nickel/Blue finish and commemorates the United States Constitution Second Amendment, "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". This is the perfect edition to any avid Colt Single Action Army collector!

As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Colt is what we believe to be New Old stock showing no evidence of regular consumer use or handling that we can see! Additionally, it will ship with the original red velvet lined wooden presentation case with the United Stated Constitution Amendment II inlaid wooden plaque and key.
