Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Zastava M70, previously known as the CZ M70, is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Zastava Arms, originally designed as a sidearm for Yugoslav police and certain military officers. This model is a scaled-down version of the Zastava M57, adapted to fire the less powerful 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP) or 9mm Kratak (.380 ACP). The M70 operates on a simple blowback mechanism and is single-action, differing significantly from the locked-breech design of the M57. The blowback operation is well-suited for the lighter ammunition it uses. Notable safety features include a manual safety lever located on the left side of the frame, which flips forward to fire and back to engage the safety, as well as a magazine disconnect. Additionally, due to its Tokarev design lineage, the M70 is easy to disassemble, with the hammer assembly removable as a single piece. The fixed sights include a rear sight that is drift-adjustable for windage, enhancing accuracy.
