Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Winchester Model 94 lever-action repeating rifle that is directly related to the Winchester Model 1873, "The Gun that Won the West." The Model 94 features button-rifled barrels, smooth walnut stocks and steel receivers and hardware. Round-locking bolt trunnions are used to enable the smooth quick-throw lever. The rifle was created by legendary designer John M. Browning for Winchester in 1893 to be able to handle recently introduced 30-30 smokeless cartridges. Today, the gun fits a variety of cartridges and is primarily used for hunting, especially whitetail deer. Many consider it a great rifle for training beginners, because it helps build the necessary skills – loading, handling, operating and shooting – to be a safe shooter and hunter.
Fast handling and compact. The Trapper’s fast-handling personality is as ideally suited for today’s cowboy action shooting as it was in the hands of a frontier lawman. Just like a century ago, you’ll appreciate the quick 16" barrel and the rifle’s overall carbine-style portability when hunting in heavy cover or carrying your Trapper on a backpack, horse or an ATV. Take your pick of classic and modern calibers.
