The Browning B-92 is a lever-action rifle designed by John Browning and manufactured by Browning Arms Company. Initially introduced in 1978 as a limited edition B-92 Centennial chambered in .44 Magnum, the standard B-92 model was launched in 1979, also in .44 Magnum, with the .357 Magnum variant following in 1982. Modeled after the classic Winchester Model 92, the B-92 was crafted to update the traditional lever-action design with modern materials and improved functionality. Offered in both .44 Magnum and .357 Magnum, it quickly gained popularity among cowboy action shooters and hunters alike, thanks to its powerful chamberings. The B-92 differed from the original Winchester 92 in several key ways. It featured a more refined action, utilizing higher-quality materials and tighter manufacturing tolerances for greater performance and reliability. The rifle's distinctive blue finish and smooth walnut stocks added to its visual appeal.
