On the left side of the slide within a gold etched banner surrounded by floral scroll engraving, "1 of 200" next to the image of a distinguished rifleman medal and "NATIONAL MATCHES/SPECIAL EDITION" followed by a circular seal marked "NATIONAL BOARD/FOR THE PROMOTION OF RIFLE PRACTICE." The right side of the slide is similarly marked and features gold etching and is marked "By Act Of Congress/1903 -1978" and "75th ANNIVERSARY/CAMP PERRY. OHIO" inside a banner framed by floral scroll gold etching.

The Colt Gold Cup is known as the world's finest semi-automatic shooting gun and is considered the gold standard for competitive firearms. It was first introduced in the late 1950s to provide competitive shooters with a gun that they could take directly from the dealer's showcase to the firing line. Colt Gold Cup pistols have been used in local club matches and the National Matches at Camp Perry. The Gold Cup National Match is the ultimate target 1911, and if you ever get the opportunity to shoot one, don't miss it. They are exceptional pistols for shooting.
The MKIV Series 80 Gold Cup National Match is a type of semi-automatic pistol that was produced between 1983 and 1996. The pistol is chambered with .45 ACP and is designed to be a Single Action Only pistol. It comes equipped with several features, such as a Colt-Elliason adjustable rear sight, an undercut front sight, a solid rib, a target hammer, a wide groove adjustable target trigger, and a flat mainspring housing.
This is a rare Colt Gold Cup 75th Anniversary (1903-1978) Camp Perry, Ohio National Matches Semi-Automatic Pistol, with the serial number 70N80757. It is chambered in the .45 ACP caliber and has a 5'' national match barrel, dark-blued finish, and checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions. The pistol features a skeletonized trigger, fixed blade front sight, and square-notched fully adjustable Elliason rear sight. It comes with one blued steel Colt magazine. Both sides of the slide are decorated in gold with scroll designs. The right side is marked ''By Act Of Congress 1903-1978'' and "75th Anniversary Camp Perry, Ohio"; the left side is marked ''1 of 200'' and ''National Matches Special Edition'', with a marksmanship badge.
