The Ithaca 37 has a long history, seeing use by American sportsmen, law enforcement and military alike. This is a well-preserved commemorative shotgun ensemble ordered and sold through the Los Angeles Police Revolver & Athletic Club, located at the LAPD Academy – home to the handgun ranges built for the 1932 Olympics which were hosted by Los Angeles. This commemorative was limited to only 1981 units. This is also one of those ordered with the optional two-barrel set, having both a 28″ vent-rib barrel and an 18 1/2″ riot barrel with rifle sights. If you are a collector of police, or in particular, LAPD memorabilia this is truly a rare opportunity not often seen.
Designed by John Moses Browning, and originally manufactured in 1937, the Model 37 Featherlight has stood the test of time, providing generations of sportsmen with a reliable firearm for all types of hunting. The Featherlight features a vent rib barrel. The versatility of the Featherlight also makes it an excellent sporting gun with the addition of trap barrels and Monte Carlo stocks.

This gun will ship with a leather-bound hard-sided carry case with brass latches and lock, tan felt padded interior, and a LAPD seal??????? on the lid. It will also ship with the 18 1/2″ riot barrel with rifle sights and all other contents pictured above!
