The Smith & Wesson 559 was only manufactured from 1980-1982. This example was manufactured in 1981 and is one of only 1,636 produced in Nickel!!

The S&W 559 is an all steel variant of the 'Second Generation' alloy frame model 459. This pistol is a double-action (DA/SA), recoil operated semi-automatic. Features Nickel Finish, slide mounted safety/decock lever, serrated backstrap and forestrap, lanyard loop on butt, and a 14-Round double-stack magazine. The gun was introduced in 1980 with shipments starting in 1981, at approximately serial number A672,725. The majority of the guns were produced with the short wide extractor. Only 200 to 250 were supplied with the long extractor. After production of 10,609 units, 8,973 in blue finish and 1,636 in nickel, the gun was discontinued October 1982.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this S&W is in Superb condition showing no indications of regular consumer use or hanlding that we can see! Additionally, it will ship with the original factory labeled box, total of 2 magazines, and all contents pictured above.
