The John Wayne “Duke” Model 94 Commemorative was produced exclusively in 1981, with serial numbers ranging from DUKE1 to DUKE1000, with a specific example being DUKE614. The underside of the receiver is stamped with the serial number "DUKE 614." The receiver itself is adorned with intricate scroll engraving featuring scenes from John Wayne’s iconic films. Along the border, the titles of several of his renowned westerns, such as The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and True Grit, are beautifully etched. John Wayne’s signature is engraved on the upper tang, adding a personal touch to the piece. On the right side of the buttstock, a medallion depicting Wayne with his name above is inset, further enhancing this tribute to the legendary actor.
