The John Wayne Model 94 Commemorative was produced exclusively in 1981, with serial numbers ranging from JW1 to JW49,000, with a specific example being JW425. This limited edition rifle was crafted to honor the legendary actor and his iconic role in shaping the American Western film genre. Featuring distinctive engravings and unique commemorative markings, the John Wayne Model 94 quickly became a cherished collector’s item, celebrating both the man and his legacy. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL,” while the top bears the “WP” proof mark and the right side is inscribed with “JOHN WAYNE COMMEMORATIVE.” The underside of the receiver is stamped with the serial number, and the sides of the receiver are beautifully scroll engraved with scenes from John Wayne's iconic movies, with titles of many of his westerns engraved along the border. His signature is engraved on the upper tang, and a medallion inset into the right side of the buttstock features a portrait of John Wayne with his name above it, adding to the commemorative nature of this rifle.
