The Model 9422s are high-quality, lever action repeater rifles that have the unmistakable look and feel of the durable Winchester Model 94 center fire rifle. Small game hunters, varmint hunters, and discriminating firearm owners will appreciate the Western-style, premium quality, and workmanship built into these fine guns. The metal and stock finish, couples with precision balance and feel, meet the specifications and standards you expect from Winchester. The Model 9422 and the Model 9422M lever action repeater built and tested by the most thorough and exacting standards devised by Winchester. These rifles have an all steel action and machined forged-steel receiver, frame, and finger lever. The Winchester Proof-Steel barrels are cold-formed in Winchester's most modern manufacturing facilities and every gun is fired for accuracy and center impact. The matched polish of receiver and frame with a minimum of visible screws or pins give these 22s a handsome and quality-crafted appearance.

The Model 9422s have been designed with an improved lever action that is stronger and operates faster and more smoothly, with superior control during cartridge feeding. Both the Standard and Magnum rifles are grooved for scope mounting and include these most wanted features: a front ramp sight with dovetail dead and hood, an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear right, scalloped tangs, simplified takedown, and a solid American walnut stock and forearm with the highest quality wood-to-metal fit. The 9422M Magnum version was the only repeater lever action magnum on the market at the time. The Model 9422s deserve all the praise you'll give the Winchester Sporting Arms. They combine the accuracy and traditional styling of the Model 94 with the economy of a rimfire that was bound to make them the leading firearm of 1972.
