The Colt New Frontier 22 Scout was manufactured from 1970-1977 with an old style sear style hammer safety and 2 convertible cylinders (.22 LR & .22 Magnum). They were reintroduced from 1982-86 with the new style cross bolt safety (Located Under the Loading Gate) and in .22 LR only.
This revolver features the cross bolt safety and is chambered in .22 LR only. It holds serial number G228007 dating to 1986, making this a LAST YEAR OF PRODUCTION MODEL!

The Colt New Frontier .22 Scout was made from 1970 to 1977 and then again from 1982 to 1986. This gun has similar features to the Colt Peacemaker model. The 6-shot Single Action revolvers were fitted with either a 4.4, 4 3/4, or 6 inch barrel, adjustable rear sight, built on the flat top frame, blue and/or color case-hardened finished, came with 2 cylinders (.22 LR & .22 Magnum) on those made from 1970 to 1977, and .22 LR cylinder only on those made from 1982 to 1986. Those made from 1982 to 1986 were also fitted with a cross bolt safety, located under the loading gate.

This Colt New Frontier will ship with the original factory labeled box, original black checkered double eagle grips and all other contents pictured above. This example remains in Excellent condition showing no evidence of regular consumer use or mishandling that we can see but please examine the many high resolution pics for a closer look.
