**This rifle sports a hexagon barrel, with a built-in sling mount on bottom barrel**
According to the Winchester ammunition web site, (not confirmed) .458 Winchester ammunition can be used in this rifle. This caliber and cartridge were invented by James Watt from Alaska with help from Harvey Anderson of Yakima Washington. They developed this cartridge because Mr. Watt was disappointed with the big / dangerous game rounds that were available at the time. There is a mountain of information in regard to this cartridge. Needless to say, if you want a big game, Africa hunting rifle this is one of the biggest and baddest!!
