Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Whitetailer II was a limited edition model based on the King Cobra and came with a Burris 1.5-4x scope and a soft case. Only 500 units of this model were ever produced. The Colt King Cobra is a double-action revolver with a six-round cylinder, designed and produced by the Colt's Manufacturing Company. It was introduced in 1986 and marketed to law enforcement agencies and civilian firearms enthusiasts. The revolver was available in blued and stainless steel finishes and came in a variety of barrel lengths. It was chambered for centerfire .357 Magnum ammunition and the .38 Special cartridge.
The design of the King Cobra is based on an earlier Colt model, the Trooper MK V. The King Cobra features a heavier-duty barrel, a full barrel-length cylinder ejection rod protection shroud, and a thicker solid rib on top of the barrel. The King Cobra was discontinued in 1992 but returned to Colt's product line in 1994. It was later dropped for a second time in 1998.
