Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
In the mid-1950s, there was a push for S&W to produce a medium K-frame revolver that could chamber the highly effective .357 Magnum. Before this, the K-frame was mainly used for .22, .32, and .38 Special revolvers. The K-frame revolver is highly respected for its outstanding performance, and it's worth noting that Smith & Wesson has produced over six million K-frame .38 Special revolvers, making it the most widely produced "model" of handgun in history.
The Model 65 is a K-frame .357 Magnum constructed with stainless steel, designed for combat and service use. Unlike Models 19/66, the Model 65 doesn't have an ejector shroud. It looks quite similar to the stainless version of the Model 10/64. The Model 65 is essentially the stainless counterpart of the Model 13. With a 3-inch barrel, it's more compact than the highly popular 4-inch barrel revolver. However, it still boasts a full-length ejector rod. Many people prefer the 3-inch S&W revolver over the 2-3/4 or 1-7/8" snub-nosed revolvers due to this feature.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
