Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Tracing its roots back to John M. Browning's B25 Superposed, the Citori over & under shotgun has an impeccable reputation for performance and reliability. The Browning Citori has been called "America's most desired over & under shotgun." It's everything you have always dreamed of in a shotgun. Unflawed balance and pointability, many hunters favor the Citori for its precise handling and pointing ease. The Citori's weight is perfectly balanced between the hands and smoothly responds to even the most difficult targets. With superb craftsmanship and styling, the sleek, clean lines of the Citori appeal to the eye and benefit overall function. Critical components are machined from steel and heat-treated before being hand-fitted for exacting performance. Exposed metal surfaces are highly polished before blueing for extra richness and protection. All wood-to-metal fits it tight and precise. The stock and forearm are select-grade walnut and cut checkered for a sure grip and good looks. The first Citori's were called the Hunting Models and were offered in all gauges and the .410 Bore. There are six basic Hunting versions. The 12 and 20 gauges and the .410 Bore had 3-inch chambers, while the 16 and 28 gauges had 2¾-inch chambers. Hunters came in Grades I, II, III, V, and VI (apparently, there were no “Grade IV” Hunters).
