The Colt Gold Cup is known as the finest shooting semi-automatic in the world, and is the standard for competitive guns. The first Colt Gold Cup pistol was introduced in the late 1950’s to give competitive shooters a gun to take directly from the dealer’s showcase to the firing line. Colt Gold Cup pistols have been used to compete in local club matches through the National Matches at Camp Perry. The Gold Cup National Match is the ultimate target 1911. If you get a chance to shoot one, don’t miss the opportunity. They are fine shooting pistols.
The Colt Delta Elite is a modified version of the M1911 pistol series, designed to shoot the 10mm Auto cartridge. It was first introduced by the Colt's Manufacturing Company in 1987. The Delta Elite is known for being the first firearm produced by a major manufacturer to use the 10mm cartridge. The Colt Delta Gold Cup is a variation of the Delta Elite model, and is designed specifically for competition shooting and target practice. Colt produced this variation for five years, from 1989 to 1993, but the total number of pistols produced was relatively low. Each pistol was assembled using the highest quality match-grade components available, and was hand-fitted to ensure maximum accuracy. The stainless steel Delta Gold Cup is equipped with a target-style "Accro" adjustable rear sight and a serrated adjustable target trigger.
