One thing that is certainly guaranteed is that NO COLLECTOR has this! *THE ONLY ONE EVER PRODUCED* A Colt Python that was produced by the Colt Custom Shop for the President of Colt Manufacturing with a Factory Installed Red Dot Optic and Camo Grips.
This is the first time this example has ever been available to purchase on the open market as it has come straight out of the Personal Collection of the past President himself, Mr. Gary French.
According to the included Colt factory letter the Colt Custom Shop was commissioned by the President's Staff Members to produce a special firearm for presentation to Colt Firearms Division President, Gary French as a farewell gift!
According to the letter Authored and Signed by Gary W. French, Past President of Colt Firearms "The Colt Python in serial number K90885 was presented to me from my staff while I was president of Colt Firearms. It has been part of my personal collection. I have owned this now for many years until I consigned the gun to the dealer that you purchased it from. I hope you enjoy the gun as much as I have. Good luck with your collecting".

The Colt Python is a .357 Magnum caliber revolver formerly manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut. It was first introduced in 1955, the same year as Smith & Wesson's M29 .44 Magnum. The now-discontinued Colt Python targeted the premium revolver market segment. Some firearm collectors and writers such as Jeff Cooper, Ian V. Hogg, Chuck Hawks, Leroy Thompson, Renee Smeets, and Martin Dougherty have described the Python as the finest production revolver ever made.
