The Marlin Model 444SS "Sporter" lever-action rifle in the potent .444 Marlin caliber was first introduced in 1984 and was manufactured until 2011. This classy and versatile lever-action repeater features a factory blue finish with a 22" inch barrel with Micro-Groove rifling, a 5-shot tube magazine, an adjustable semi-buckhorn folding rear sight with a ramp front sight, an American Black Walnut pistol grip stock set with hand-cut checkering, and a factory installed Marlin logo recoil pad. The Marlin 444SS quickly earned a reputation for being a very well made gun that was both very reliable and powerful enough for any game in North America. The 444SS was brought back by popular demand for one year between 2014 and 2015 but has not been made since.This particular model has become very sought-after and should continue to appreciate every year.
