The Browning Model 53 is a variant of the Winchester 1892 made so famous by John Wayne and other western stars. There were only 5000 of this model manufactured in 1990 only, making this a very collectable rifle. The stocks are high gloss finished checkered dark walnut with nicely figured grain. The buttstock has a pistol grip with a black plastic “Browning Arms Company” cap and a flat shotgun style serrated metal buttplate. This rifle is mounted with a flat topped “U” grooved rear ladder sight and a gold bead front sight. Both are dovetailed into the barrel.
