The Marlin Model 1894 is a lever-action repeating rifle introduced in 1894 by the Marlin Firearms Company of North Haven, Connecticut. At its introduction the rifle came with a 24-inch barrel and was chambered for a variety of rounds such as .25-20 Winchester, .32-20 Winchester, .38-40, and .44-40. Variants in other chamberings remain in production today.

DU got its start in 1937 during the Dust Bowl when North America's drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows. Determined not to sit idly by as the continent's waterfowl dwindled beyond recovery, a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became known as Ducks Unlimited. Its mission: habitat conservation
The Model 1894CL was a limited run by itself from 1988 to 1994. It has a Ducks Unlimited medallion on the right side of the stock. The barrel length is 22" with an adjustable, Buckhorn type rear sight and a blade type front sight with a brass bead. The receiver is drilled & tapped for scope mounting. Their American walnut stocks are uncheckered and they have a 6-shot tubular magazine capacity.
