The Marlin Model 336 is a lever-action rifle and carbine manufactured by Marlin Firearms. It has been available in different calibers and barrel lengths since its launch in 1948, but it is usually chambered in .30-30 Winchester or .35 Remington, and typically comes with a 20- or 24-inch barrel. At present, the model with a 24-inch barrel is only available in .30-30 Winchester. The Model 336 is now in production again as of March 27, 2023.

By 1983, most of Marlin's mass merchandise retailers had the power to demand name-brand firearms, resulting in the termination of the Glenfield line. However, Marlin continued to offer a low-priced version of the Model 336, called the Model 336W or Model 30AW, which was initially sold exclusively to the Wal-Mart chain. These rifles came with a hardwood stock and less expensive sights, and were frequently sold as part of a special package that included an inexpensive rifle scope, sling, or other options.
