The Ruger P90 is a semi-automatic pistol of typical Ruger design, chambered in .45 ACP. The 45 Automatic is definitely one of the most powerful military handgun cartridge. The P90 is a scaled-up version of the P89 model, chambered with .45 ACP also with an aluminum frame. The P90 was introduced in 1991 as the company's first effort at a .45 ACP, and was in direct competition with Sig Sauer P220, Smith and Wesson's 4500 series and to a bit lesser extent Glock G21 which came out the same year.The model P90 is considered to have above average accuracy for its price. The Ruger P90 came in multiple configurations including the P90 DC, a decocker only version with no external safety. In 2010 the model P90 was discontinued.
