The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is a six-shot, double-action revolver chambered for the .44 Magnum cartridge and was manufactured by the United States company Smith & Wesson. The Smith & Wesson Model 29 was offered in a variety of barrel sizes such as 3, 4, 5, 6, 6 1⁄2, 8 3⁄8 and 10 5⁄8 inch barrels as standard models. Other barrel lengths were available either by special order from Smith & Wesson's Custom Shop or custom built by gunsmiths. The 5-inch barreled variant had a full length underlug.
The finish options included a highly polished blued or nickel-plated surface. At the time of its introduction the Model 29 was the one of the most powerful production handguns made, although it was later surpassed by handguns that were chambered for the even larger .454 Casull and .50 Action Express cartridges. The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is one of the most famous worldwide handguns by association with the famous fictional character "Dirty Harry" Callahan.
The Classic DX version is a deluxe version of the .44 Classic with all the features of the Classic on a 10 groove serrated round butt frame and is laser engraved "29 Classic DX" on the right side barrel.

This example is in SUPERB condition showing no evidence of consumer use or handling that we can see! This example will ship with the original matching factory-labeled box, a matching factory test target, four different front sights, cleaning tools and paperwork pictured above!
