Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Smith & Wesson Model 4506 is a semi-automatic pistol that belongs to the 4500 series of handguns, produced by Smith & Wesson. It is a third-generation pistol that is chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge and can also be used with special springs to fire the stronger .45 Super cartridge. The pistol is made almost entirely from stainless steel, making it highly durable and resistant to harsh weather conditions. The 4506 operates in double-action/single-action mode, with the first shot being fired in double-action mode, and subsequent shots fired in single-action mode. It features one-piece Xenoy wrap-around grips, with either a curved or straight back strap. The 4506 was produced from 1988 to 1999.
The Smith & Wesson Model 4567 is a version of the Smith & Wesson 4506, with a 4 1⁄4" barrel on a full-size stainless steel frame with a blue carbon steel slide and tritium night sights. The Smith & Wesson 4567 is also known as the Model 4567-NS and is a midsize pistol. Only 1236 of these pistols were produced, all in 1991, making them highly sought after by Smith & Wesson collectors.
