The Officers ACP is the sister model to such classics as the National Match, Gold Cup, Commander, Delta Elite, and Commander models.
This Officer's ACP pistol was manufactured in 1992. At some point after leaving the factory, it was sent to Wilson Combat to undergo enhancements, commonly referred to as being "wilsonized." The pistol now boasts an upgraded hammer and Wilson Combat Beavertail grip safety, slide safety, and trigger. The slide release, safety, beavertail grip, and trigger are finished in hard chrome. The pistol also features a lightweight alloy frame engraved with "Wilson Combat" on the right side.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Colt Officer's Model, also known as Colt Officer's ACP, is a semi-automatic, magazine-fed handgun based on the M1911 designed by John M. Browning. It was created in response to numerous aftermarket companies making smaller versions of the M1911 pistol. In 1985, Colt developed their version and named it the "Colt Officer's ACP." The following year, they introduced a lighter version with an aluminum frame called the Lightweight Officer's ACP, which weighed 10 ounces less than the original (24 ounces). The main differences between a full-sized M1911 and the Officer's ACP are 6-round magazines instead of 7-round, 7 1/8" overall length instead of 8 1/2", 5 1/8" height instead of 5 1/2", 34-oz instead of 39-oz, and most characteristically, a 3 1/2" barrel instead of 5".
